Naomi M. Pridjian is a second-generation Armenian-American artist whose inherited sense of the tragic dimension of a martyred people informs her work, which includes assemblage and digital montage. She is the curator and producer of the 2002 exhibition, Inheritance: Art and Images Beyond a Silenced Genocide.
In all of her work, however harsh the concept may be, she strives for skillful and beautiful execution. She believes these qualities can function positively in an increasingly harsh and skeptical world.
Naomi believes in the inclusive commonality of the human spirit, within the cultural diversity of an ever-shrinking globe. She sees personal self-awareness as an exploratory step toward tolerant inclusion, and creates work that is an open invitation to any for that exploration.
